The Harley Davidson Fat Boy Motorcycle was first produced by Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Company in 1990. The original Harley Davidson Fatboy was called the gray ghost. The Harley Fat Boy was Harley-Davidsons answer to the Japanese low cost imports flooding the US motorcycle market. Since the introduction of the Harley Davidson Fatboy Motorcycle the Harley Fat Boy has been the leading Harley-Davidson Softail Motorcycle seller. The Harley-Davidson Fatboy FLSTF carbureted version and Harley Davidson Fatboy FLSTFI the fuel injected version are both Harley Davidson Softails with solid cast aluminum wheels. The Harley Fat Boy now has the twin cam balanced motor which makes for a very smooth riding Harley-Davidson Fat Boy. The Harley-Davidson Fatboy is great for local and long distance riding.
